Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegee's has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the "eegee," in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a used vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. I came up to Tucson for a conference, and everyone said I had to try Eegees. The sub was pretty good. It was made well and tasted pretty good overall. I was really here for the drinks. I tried the flavor of the month, which was the Tiger blood. I thought it was pretty good slushy. It was fun trying a new flavor over the standard offerings. I saw a lot of reviews saying the quality has gone way down, so im just speaking of what I experienced, but Ifor the price I thought it was good overall.
