Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. Poor customer service received. My food took over 20 minutes and I was not provided an update on its status being delayed because of the GF bread.
I stopped by the drive through today to get the full deluxe, turkey provolone, fries, and a large flavor of the month. When I put my number in for my rewards, the older woman taking our order told us that we had a free small eegee. Everything was great until this point. We asked for her to give us a small flavor of the month, and she had the gall to tell us NO. Yuck! Eeggee's either got a bad patch or they changed their strawberry recipe. I purchased a strawberry last Thursday and it had a very distasteful after taste. I have had plenty of eeggees over the years so I brushed it off as a one time thing. But the next day, at a different store I got the same ugly after taste. I have to wonder if they have changed the recipe to save cost? What a shame.
Can't get enough of the monsoon eegee! Could keep that one year round! Oh and that one employee there!!
