I have had bipolar disorder for 23 yrs (though not convinced) as i kept thinking it was something external causing me to be so unlike myself and I could not see what was happening anyway because all the time that had passed felt pretty much ran together with a few blips of memory here and there since the onset of my bipolar disorder at age 20. You don't realize how bad she is until you begin to see someone else. Someone who actually listens to your feelings and concerns. Someone who doesn't judge or questions your decisions when you're coming to them for help. Its unfortunate to see someone like this working in mental health. Save yourself the time and money and find another psychiatrist.

Not only is Dr Harvey a poor excuse for a psychiatrist, she is also a poor excuse for a physician. She seems to have forgotten the Hypocratic oath. My wife went to UTMB psych for help. Her psychiatrist had a sound plan to help her and Dr Harvey overruled their plan as the supervisor preventing my wife from getting the help that she needed. This woman is a disgrace to her profession and especially UTMB.

Very rude and hostile. Seemed to have no clue as to my problem (PTSD). Just convinced me the more that psychiatrists are nothing but power trippers.
