My experience with Dr. Konrad has been positive. Although, some people may not like her approach, I think she is honest and caring and spends time really trying to understand your whole person. I like her approach and her ability to listen to you and do her detective work to get to the root of the problem. She is a little bit like an absent minded professor - but in a good way. Smart and caring. I give her very high marks. I’ve never been healthier and on very little medication.
Dr Konrad is an exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough and caring doctor. She uses a holistic approach - rather than trying to take the easy way out and prescribing drugs to treat a symptom, she gets down to the root cause of the problem by doing a very thorough analysis (questions, blood analysis, x-rays, etc). After finding the root cause of the problem, Dr. Konrad recommends using natural supplements rather than harsh drugs. She will prescribe drugs only when absolutely necessary.
Dr. Konrad diagnosed me with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, intestinal permeability, and candida and suggested a strict diet as well as variety of supplements and probiotics. The first few months of the diet were tough, eliminating all sugars, carbs, and diary, I lost over 20lbs in 3-4 months. I was very strict for over a year and ALL my symptoms went away. My blood work improved, vitamin D is OK and antibodies – though still high – are closer to the 200 range instead of 2k. I love the way I feel.
Be aware she pushes the use of supplements which I believe she gets some $$ from. She gives you a website to shop from and you are to mention her name. I think she gets a cut of the profit. Otherwise why not allow patients to get these 'necessary' supplements through their own sources. She says any other than the ones purchased from her site are ineffective. Questionable ethics unfortunately appear to be evident.
