I would highly recommend Dr. Merkel. It is so hard finding a new doctor. You can do the research, read the reviews, but until you actually meet them, you truly don't know. I felt very comfortable discussing my issues with him. He listened to my concerns and I feel very confident in the medical plan that we discussed together. Can't say it enough. If you are looking for a really good doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Merkel.
At 8 months pregnant made one of my daughters visits political and inappropriate when asking questions and showing concerns she had. Basically screamed at her and her husband and rushed them out of the appointment quickly. She then decided to get a second opinion and Thank God she did!!! I cannot imagine if someone that can't maintain decorum and composure as an OB would I ever want operating on my daughter. So glad she dumped him
Very informative, thorough, makes you feel comfortable, & let's you speak how you feel, not feel rushed. Recommend maybe scheduling in advance if you really like him as your doctor. I've never had issues but just worldly advice.
I have a very complicated medical history and see more doctors in a year than most people see in their life. Dr. Merkel is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. He's remarkably empathetic, intelligent, and informative. He takes every variable into consideration in regards to patient care, and goes above and beyond to ensure I have everything I need and that all my questions are answered.
