I first saw Dr Leventhal in 2023 following a move to this area. He’s nice, but after doing the DRE I asked about doing a PSA. He said you don’t need one. I wondered why later, and medical protocols say not to give one after 70 years of age. In 2024, he does DRE and he says see you next year and BTW ask your primary doc to do PSA in your annual physical and send me results . Ok now 2 questions: why now does he ask for PSA given I’m in my 70s and why doesnt he as urologist have means to do PSA himself? I change docs in 2025. N... read more
Very polite. Took the time to make sure I understood and didn’t have any questions.
Dismissive, abrasive and condescending. Cannot recommend for anyone vulnerable enough to seek help concerning urinary health. I know my body and so do you, don't let him tell you otherwise. I will be seeking a 2nd opinion.
