When ever there is something going on with the stock market we can plan on an email giving us an update on what is going on and reassurances that our investments are ok. Asked to be put into no-load funds for my IRA and said that I trusted her judgement--wow, I was wrong. I looked at my statement and found out I was almost exclusively invested in Class A shares with 5% front-end sales loads. 5% of my money gone, in an instant. After other fees (high expense ratios and 12-b1 fees), less than 95% of my money ended up being put toward my retirement, which I think is downright unethical considering you only get so much money to put in a tax-advantage account like an IRA each year.
