If you have a cancer that already has a playbook he can follow - you will probably be fine and have a good experience. BUT if you have a complicated cancer that needs special attention - you will not get it from Dr. Othman or the other primary oncologists at Southcoast - go to Boston.
So blessed to have found Dr Othman. He found a condition that no other doctors found or had even thought to check for that could of gone real bad. He is calming and very knowledgeable. He takes the time to discuss any concerns I have and is very patient and easy to talk to. The office staff is wonderful as well always smiling and making me feel at ease
Dr. Othman is an excellent oncologist! He is very thorough and keeps a close eye on his patients through regular testing and follow up. Overall, he has a calm, friendly, and supportive personality that’s makes a big difference in one’s care. He also comprehensively explains issues and is very responsive to questions.
Seek care elsewhere. The billing practices of Dr. Othman's office put profit before patient. Lab work is always covered by my health insurance, but due to the way it was coded by Dr. Othman's office (as a "facility fee"), it was not. Both billing and his office told me that it "happens often" and was unchangeable.
Dr Othman is caring and sensitive and puts you at ease in what is a very scary and stressful time. He is open and honest but also upbeat. I would highly recommend him.
