Service wasn’t that great, I just asked for a regular veggie bento with veggie rolls. However, I got charged 17$ for avocado rolls that weren’t even wrapped properly and the rice looked like straight up compost. The veggies were half raw half burnt and the rice was sticky to the point you couldn’t identify the grains. Bubble tea was 90% sugar to the point of sickness. There must’ve been some type of miscommunication because 17$ for a bento with just vegetable scraps is insane.
Edo Japan is my favorite asian restaurant. I love Japanese food, and I think everyone in Calgary should try. There is a little problem. Every time I eat at Edo Japan, it's tastes different! The first time I tried the food, it was in the Westbrook mall branch. The rice they used was more delicious and better cooked than this branch. First time. So I ordered the most loved teriyaki chicken in the menu. Excited to eat tender, sweet and salty flavor of teriyaki chicken. Only to be disappointed. Too salty. The vegetables were hard. California maki doesnt taste what a cali maki should be. Maybe frozen or chilled from yesterday. No idea where the tempura sauce came from. Not gonna lie. Food doesnt taste like it should be.
