January 25, 2025. After giving this Edo Japan location yet another try, and after indicating to the lady at the cash, about our last visit. There was NO change! She she even told me, next time don't do the review, just tell me. My doing that would be an injustice to those who read and benefit from my reviews! I'll not bother with this location again. I had an amazing experience at Edo Japan in Guildford Centre! We were last-minute customers, and Trisha, the cashier at the time, provided outstanding customer service. Not only did she assist us promptly and efficiently, but she also went above and beyond to help a family with a little child who was looking for a meal for the young girl—something other restaurants had refused to do. Edo is one of the good stalls in the Guilford shopping mall. Ordered the beef and chicken bento with cali roll and gyoza. They grill your order in front of you but I found they overcooked the beef as it was too tough. Pretty typical for food court level food.
My first experience with Edo Japan is so bad. I ordered Teriyaki chicken noodles. Server asked me the spice level, I said make it spicy. When I was served, one cook put steamed noodles and vegetables in the box. Second cook sautéed some shredded chicken on the griddle and added on top of the noodles.
