I stayed at Safra Lodge and it was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. They provide baskets you can put your food items in to store in one of the massive refrigerators they have in the common kitchen area. They offer a free Continental breakfast for guests and free beverages and snacks. You can go off campus to eat but you do have to go through the checkpoint security process all over again.
One of the most comfortable and beautiful hotels in which I have stayed.
The lodge was clean and welcoming. My room was quiet, which is important to me.
I call it the McDonald's House for adults. My sixth time staying overnight, no cost to NIH patients, rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Bring and store your preferred foods in their large refrigerators, open full kitchen and shuttle to your appointment is but 5 minutes and it's free. Park your car once? Bethesda is less than 15 minutes and has many great restaurants or cook for yourself. It really is priced right??
