Went it for a key battery but also had a message on the dash to reset for maintenance required. Totally took care of my key which had the wrong battery but one of the service managers reset the message but also changed my display and I swear my truck runs faster. Top notch service department.
Called to see if they had any service records on a vehicle I have in my possession. I wish I would have caught the guys name from the service department but I didn't. He was rude and acted like service records where some kind of national security that only the pentagon should know about. After explaining to him my situation he then wanted me to drive from Boise to Nampa to have them verify that I am in possession of the vehicle so that I could get the answer I am looking for. Take this as a warning not to give these crooks a dime, as well as an endorsement for the amazing people at Caldwell Automotive. Edmark Toyota charged us $800 just to look at my car after the AC went out, and told us it would be another $1200 to replace the whole system. We’ve had my car for about a year and an half, and its a newer model. Understandably appalled at the pricing, I took my car into Caldwell Auto. Went in for service. Fast and professional check in. Great service. Car was finished within an hour.
I do much of the work on my FJ (mods- etc.). I discovered when I bought "my" first set of tires that the previous owner put wheel spacers on it. Don't do that. The physics engineered will advance suspension stress. Especially, if you go off-road. Now, 1/2 way through the second tire set I knew I needed bearings or risk a costly front end break in the middle of nowhere. Having looked at how-to videos.
