I was excited to have a gym so close to family, and a day pass made the most sense. When I went to pay, their tap to pay wasn't working, and I was told I could just pay the next day in-person. 5 minutes into my workout, I was asked to leave, told the manager said it wasn't alright. I wanted to like this gym, but the poor customer service made me feel really unwelcomed. Unfortunate experience.
After lifting at gyms owned by greater midland (north end, old community center, new community center) for most of my lifting career, I can confidently say Edison’s is much better. First of all, the equipment is just as good but that’s not the main reason for its superiority. At CC gyms I would constantly encounter patronizing staff with the standard frustrating corporate dialogue, not to mention the memberships with initiation fees that are inconveniently designed to make you pay more.
