I've been seeing Dr. Goncalves for a few years now, and the last few visits didn't sit well with me and my PCP. He couldn't get my thyroid levels to where they needed to be and wouldn't offer metformin for my pre-diabetes. He wasn't concerned about my A1C at all; he just told me to change my diet. I don't recommend him. I will no longer be seeing him. I have just changed my endocrinologist. Also, he didn't want to work with my PCP. He tried to control everything.
