Poor quality care for my resident. Has a hotel feel, not warm and friendly. Beautiful facility, and they keep it clean but that's about it. Many medication mistakes. Walking into the memory care unit felt very depressing. Staff was not warm or welcoming they made me feel like They did not want me to be there. My mother's experience at Edgewater was terrible. In December 2021, as my sister and I did not live in the area and needed a short-term (one month) place for our mother before moving her to North Carolina, we trusted Edgewater to provide her with safe care and paid for full support in a one-bedroom unit. When we came to pick her up, we were told she had become incontinent and probably had a urinary, so we should take her to the emergency room.
