This review is specifically about the Memory Care Unit (Mabel's House) at Edgewood Vista (EV). While a visually appealing place to live, PLEASE know ahead of time that a Dementia/Alzheimer's person will most likely not be able to live there until they die. When I went to tour, I was afraid of leaving my Mom somewhere I don't know about. But the atmospher is great! I love Sierra Hills! Food is great and the staff are like familly. They have on site Activities and much more.....
AVOID SIERRA HILLS OR ANY FACILITY ASSOCIATED WITH SUNWEST MANAGEMENT! HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE, TERRIBLE FOOD, LOUSY MANAGEMENT, CONTINUE TO FAIL STATE DEPT OF HEALTH SURVEYS, COMPANY IS HAVING SEVERE FINANCIAL PROBLEMS AND FACILITIES ARE BEING FORECLOSED ON (OR GOING INTO BANKRUPTCY). FACILITY HAS LEAKING CEILINGS, FAULTY TOILETS, VERY DIRTY & NOT VERY SANITARY. CHECK WITH LOCAL DEPT OF HEALTH FOR RECENT VIOLATIONS/COMPLAINTS, ETC.
