Edgefield first caught my attention because of its location and history but upon arrival I was introduced to the compassionate staff that made me feel at home. The repuposed plantation house is such a charm with beautiful chandeliers, fireplaces, and paintings to gaze at between classes, meals, or in the afternoon. Do NOT send your family members here. I have called over 6 times to let someone know their child is having a medical emergency. I have been hung up on, and just straight up ignored. Very unprofessional and disgusting for the disregard of the patient’s minor child.
Absolutely beautiful grounds and the most supportive, caring, and loving staff. From the moment I walked in at Intake I immediately felt welcomed. Was greeted by staff that also had personaly experienced the recovery journey. Having that in common made it easier for me to be able to start forgiving myself and focusing on my sobriety. (posting for friend)Make sure everything at home is perfect before checking in here... Boyfriend checked in here 3 days ago. I've locked myself out of our phone (requires pattern instead of fingerprint if you turn it off) and have been begging these people to just ask him for the pattern for 3 days. I live 30 miles out of town, have no phone and no gas or money because I can't get into my phone to turn my card on. It would literally take 30 seconds to help me and they won't.
