This place saved my life!! I lost my job , My kids wouldn't speak to me, I wasn't allowed to see my grandkids. So I prayed to God and asked him to help me get my family back and And was told about Edgefield from a friend. I made the call and was accepted the next day. I just celebrated my one year clean July 9th. I have my family back and my grandkids and have a job I absolutely love ❤️! I will never go back to that life again! I have been to Edgefield 3 times and I will not go anywhere else for treatment for substance use disorder. The staff is caring and compassionate, attentive to the needs of the clients, and puts the client first. There was a new administrator this time I went, Mr. Bobby Rayford, who I highly commend on his hiring of the new staff. He is a delight to be around and even did my discharge plan for me. Sarah, not sure of her title, extremely rude with us because apparently her highly trained staff opened the gate for someone else who parked BEHIND us at the gate despite us calling several times. Very unprofessional. Was told by staff that we could drop items off on weekends when apparently that was false.
Edgefield first caught my attention because of its location and history but upon arrival I was introduced to the compassionate staff that made me feel at home. The repuposed plantation house is such a charm with beautiful chandeliers, fireplaces, and paintings to gaze at between classes, meals, or in the afternoon. The staff was so caring and involved in my recovery process.
