Bike emergency on my son's bike. Popped in the store and repaired by the next day. The guy was very helpful (don't remember his name) and we later returned to purchase bike for my daughter. Extremely family friendly - lady who rang us up was charming. FYI - they are not opened on Weds. (we went on Weds. originally) but are opened on the weekend.
Called earlier in the day and spoke to Jim, explained situation with my son's bicycle. Nothing major, but the chain was very loose, brakes were malfunctioning, etc. He said to bring it by any time and he'd be happy to take a look at it. We came by later in the day and Jim did a complete once-over on the bike and fixed everything it needed, and then some. One of the end caps on the handlebar was missing and he popped on a new one. Everything was great
Reading through some of the poor reviews, I wonder whether I walked in to the same place as they did. Stopping by recently I was greeted by a woman behind the counter who was happy to help show me some accessories, responded to my request for info on home maintenance and tools with ease and made some great recommendations. The two guys working in the shop area were friendly, and one of them gladly came 'out' to swap on the new saddle I bought. This is one of the last good bike shops in the city, most of the other ones have all become trendy centers for wannabees. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, they have the best repair staff in the business, and they have a great selection of moderately priced bikes. I have been cycling for 40 years and I have been coming here for about 15 years.
Great location with experienced bike technicians. A little pricey so always ask upfront for the expected cost of the repairs. However the work is always good
Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff. I recently purchased some brakes that ended up not clearing the fenders on the bike, and they made the return pain-free (which isn't always a given these days). I highly recommend them for both buying parts and for performing service.
