At our very first appointment with our midwives, we asked whether we should hire a doula. They emphatically said "yes" and recommended Anna. Anna was the doula for the birth of my first child, and the level of physical/emotional support, knowledge, and wisdom she provided to my husband and I was beyond our wildest expectations.
