with less than 3,000 miles I heard a ticking open the valve cover and there were two cylinders on the driver side the rocker arms were only lifting up a quarter inch at most so I know the camshaft was bad took the motor apart we found the camshaft ground all the way down almost completely through to the other side to me it looks like they put the put the front Cam Bearing in wrong and it didn't line up with the Holes in the block causing total cam failure I'm not sure if Dave Allen who sold me his 57 Chevrolet with the 383 e... read more
