great massage therapist - Verna – If you are looking for the best massage therapist, see Verna at Edamame Spa! She is VERY experienced and focused on helping you to get a relief from all the muscles tension and back pain associated with pregnancy. I've been going back to see her every week during my twin pregnancy and I am definitely seeing positive results in how my muscles react to increasing weight and a change in physical activity.

Horrible experience – I must have had the same massage therapist as the previous reviewer. She kept chatting the whole time and was more interested in giving unsolicited advice about how to stretch my back instead of massaging it. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and had upper back pain that I asked her to help massage. She ignored my request at first, preferring to keep chatting. When I brought it up the 3rd time, she finally said that she couldn't do anything about it and didn't even try. She then proceeded to tell me h... read more

BAD EXPERIENCE – I had a prenatal mom to be massage yesterday, I feel so sore today, things that didn't hurt, hurt today. My neck is stiffer than ever. It was not relaxing at all. The massage lady kept talking to me and instead of really massaging me and relaxing me, was showing me what excersices I should be doing to relieve pain. I was there to relax, not to chat. I also had a pure facial, the lady was good but I have never been so red after a facial. I get them regularly, Sucks it cost me $270 and I am so so so disappoint... read more

Amazing massage therapists – Edamame spa was absolutely amazing. I came here while I was pregnant, and even now when I'm not pregnant I still continue coming in because I can't get a massage anywhere else. They absolutley know what they are doing here. Gifting a gift certificate from this spa for your pregnant friends is an amazing gift, because your friends will thank you forever. The best part about it, thoswe who are pregnant her could just go shopping for maternity clothes right after the spa treatment. Can't wait to go ... read more

You Want a GREAT massage....ask for Linda!!! – This spa is worth going to just because there is a therapist named Linda there who is by far one of THE BEST therapists I have ever experienced. Her talented hands and confident intelligence made me feel so safe that I wished my OB/GYN was like her!! : ) The spa is small but cozy, nothing overdone...actually simple in nature. You don't go there for the decor, its the therapist expertise that is the draw. I have recommended many of my pregnant and non pregnant buddies to this pla... read more

cozy and not bad – I recently had a facial and body massage at 32 weeks of pregnancy. The spa is small to my surprise. Maybe 4-5 treatment rooms, a resting lounge, one shower room and one restroom. Treatment rooms are nicely spaced and decorated though. Their beds are sooooo comfortable. Wish I could have one at home to sleep on. No changing room there so I had to change in the restroom. There was no hooks on the wall in the restroom, so I had to hold on to my clothes in between my legs... I am very picky about my facial tre... read more

Amazing service – I shop at this store all the time, destination maternity, and recently discovered the spa with a gift card a friend gave me. I had a massage and a facial and was very happy with both my treatments. The women are all very friendly the spa is quite cozy and calming, they have a nice lounge area to hang out in and relax. I am six months pregnant and was able to lay on my belly because they have those beds with the cut out holes for your stomach it was so great I wish I had that bed at home. My therapist Verna ... read more

Posh spa targets new mothers and moms-to-be with specially designed facials, massages and body wraps. – Great pains have been taken to make this basement level spa a tranquil oasis: Low lighting, the use of muted neutral tones and a gentle trickle of running water make this as luxurious as any "normal" spa. What's different here is that spa-goers are pregnant, and the treatments (from the Absolute Pearl facial, which uses real pearls, to the Mom-To-Be massage) are designed with expecting women in mind. In the second trimeste... read more
