New water filter intermittently bangs loudly for an hour during its backwash cycle.
As I am interested in replacing an aged water softener unit, this company through COSTCO, checked my existing equipment and advised on a replacement unit. I didn't go with this company because I want a salt-free replacement, and I definitely didn't like the fact that I would have a monthly charge of $25.00 p/m ($300 p/y) for service with them after the first year of installation.
