My truck overheated and broke down in Virginia while traveling from Connecticut to North Carolina. I explained to the garage that I was in the middle of nowhere and I wasn’t quite sure what to do. I brought my SUV in after noticing a heavy vibration whenever I hit speeds above 50 mph. They started with a road test and then checked tire balance, suspension, and wheel alignment. The issue turned out to be worn suspension bushings combined with slightly unbalanced front tires. The mechanic showed me the worn parts on the lift which helped me understand what was happening.
