The staff was great! Location excellent. Room... looks like they are trying to update to Choice Hotel quality; but it's an old motel with patched paint, and rust and mold in the bathroom. Bathroom definitely needs an upgrade. Toilet paper just sits on the back of the tank. (Panic already set in before my husband found it behind me.) We liked the license plate Texas art. We checked in Friday night/early Saturday morning. The front desk gentleman was very rude, took 45 minutes to get us checked in. When we finally got our room as soon as we walked in roaches the size of a small coffee lid crawled out of everything and scattered. At that point we weren’t staying anymore and I asked for a refund so I could go somewhere else and I have been given the run around about it. I highly do not recommend this place. I used booking.com and they haven’t been much help either.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s walkable to the beach and restaurants. The bed is big and comfortable. Other than that, don’t expect much. Afterall, it’s a budget hotel. It’s old, the fridge was dirty, and the walls were paper thin. I was awakened each morning by my neighbor’s tv. There was only leftover shampoo provided in our room. The bathroom had holes in the wall from water damage. There is no breakfast at all. The receptionist’s don’t take their jobs seriously, if someone walks in turn off your phone and focus on them. Also there is no beach view see picture.
