I have had 2 vehicles painted at Econ a p/up from Charcoal to Viper Yellow which came out great,my 2nd vehicle an Eclipse on the ther hand started chipping and it wasn't even a year yet,and(less the year warranty) they did nothing but handed me some touch up paint that didn't even match. Looking to get my present vehicle painted but on the fence about using them again. That last experience left a bitter taste. May use Maaco this time around and just sand down/prep my own car(at work).

I Just picked up my 3rd vehicle painted from Econ Auto Painting 11707 N Florida Ave in Tampa in the last 2 years. The managers changed, but NOT the VALUE for what I paid. All 3 times I was treated with respect, given a fair quote (I shopped 2 other local shops and both were double the price) I was given the option of the least expensive job (Which is $199.00) I chose to add a clear coat the 1st 2 times for an extra $100.00. Don't waste your money! Purchased a 3 year warranty, the paint on the hood dulled in less then 7 months and bubbles in the paint. Shop went under new management and they are not willing to fix even with the warranty card!!! New Owners are real pieces of work.

I recently had my 01 Nissan Sentra painted here. I went from a dull burgundy to a gorgeous Black. These guys were professional, quick, and very good at giving my car a brand new look. They gave great instructions on how to car for my car afterwards. I've recommended them already, and will continue to do so! Great work guys!

STAY AWAY – Don't waste your time. The man behind the counter thought it would be a better idea to be rude and a total D!@K. Go to a better quality shop were they dont treat customers like crap. In this economy being known for treating your customers bad won't go to far.

Dissatisfied with restoration – Work began on my truck in St. Pete. Very good body man who was transferred to the Tampa shop. I requested and received approval to transfer the truck to Tamp so the body man could continue. The fired him (probably because he was spending too much time on my truck!) and quickly wanted it out of the shop. The bedliner was sprayed in over the rust in the bed, the tailgate was left closed so that when it was opened, you could see that no primer was on it. Problems with this Econo – Had the bed of a truck repainted and some minor bodywork done. This was a very poor job. The body work looked like a real amatuer job as you could see waves where it was done. The paint job was poor with runs in it. The worst thing was they did not cover the bedliner and got overspray all over it. In the past this place had done some pretty good work but now I would avoid them. Terrible.
