Great trip. Excellent service. Awesome natural environment. Put on your "Things to do List"
This is an amazing experience. Dave and Bill took care of me from start to finish. If you want an incredible nature adventure this is it! I have been kayaking all over the world and this trip will stand out. By the way if you want to see alligators in a perfectly natural state this is the trip. I think I saw two dozen in a few hours and well as a family of wild pigs with babies!!!
The Econ River is simply beautiful! The owner was very accommodating to our needs and the folks who set up the kayaks were incredibly attentive. They offered water, ensured the kayaks were clean and in working order, and provided helpful tips on the trip. We’ve used them before and would definitely use them again.
Greg and Sam were very personable and made us feel confident we could do the 11.5 mile trek!! Waters were too low for the 8.5 mile run, so we did it!! In about 6 hours, we kayaked downstream in beautiful mid 60's/70's weather. We saw many baby gators, tons of King Fishers, many other egrets and herons and a special performance of 3 bald eagles showing off their flight skills and vocals! 4.5 STARS - Overall it was a great trip. Greg was great and very informative on our way to the canoe launch and what to expect. The only thing that was missing and this is probably due to low water so definitely take the paddle it is worth it. I would have liked to have had a map, mostly for the last mile or so just to get my bearing since google maps wasn't' what I was hoping for when looking at it in the canoe. Beautiful time, wildlife, scenery and great company along the way. I highly recommend it and I will do it again.
