Matt was a court appointed GAL for my children and has never reached back out to me. I have contacted him numerous times because he was supposed to speak to my children and never did. My children were being abused and beaten on at their father’s house and Matt failed them.
My boyfriend had been a client of Matt’s for some time. Never had any issues, he always had my boyfriend put cash in an envelope with his name on it in his drop box (which is shady but we could never get ahold of him to give it to someone directly so he advised us to do this instead.)My boyfriend had a balance of $600ish and dropped him off $1500 in March OVER paying him to take care of future matters. Mr Eckstein is a great attorney, who diligently works for his client.
Matt Eckstein is a fraud. My mother paid him a $3000 retainer and he disappeared for months on a very time sensitive case. Not only did he use $1200 of it for reading a few small emails, we reached out daily for over a month and never had our calls or emails returned or the work we paid him for taken care of in any way.
