Great doctor, takes the time to listen and speaks plainly. Very relatable, competent.
I was seen by Dr. Eckles recently and can’t say enough good things! He listened to all of my concerns, laid out all of my options but ultimately recommended a conservative treatment plan. I am glad I saw him and would recommend him to anyone needing a sleep doctor!
Awful experience with Dr. Eckles. As a patient that is more concerned with medical care, if the doctor is good at what they do, I can set aside a less than stellar personality. However, Dr Eckles lacked both skill and ability to communicate. Dr. Eckles was either unable or unwilling to answer questions about my narcolepsy with cataplexy and circadian rhythm disorder diagnosis. He cut the visit abruptly without explanation. Maybe he was having a bad day but unfortunately my experience was just a bad doctor.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve never had a doctor refuse to treat my son after knowing all of his diagnoses. He talked down to us in the exam room and seemed upset at my son’s choice of terminology when my son had no other words to describe his symptoms. He finally stormed out and literally slammed the exam room door behind him when my son got frustrated and confused at his rapid questions. He then decided to deny my son care. I do not recommend this doctor for anyone.
Worst Dr. I’ve ever encountered. Declined to answer questions, didn’t listen or give explanations. Contacted my mail order pharmacy saying he was my new provider and then decided not to be. Even as a patient willing and open minded to hear other alternatives and treatment to what my previous Neurologist and sleep specialist had provided he didn’t even give me a chance. He walked out barely listening to me and decided to go by notes instead of even talking to the patient.
