Honestly really disappointed I went in for open access for 3 hours just for them to tell me I can’t see an individual therapist or get someone to help manage my meds unless I go through group therapy for 6 weeks and I kept telling them I wasn’t interested since group therapy is not my thing, it’s okay if someone else is fine with it and likes group therapy. Trash don’t waste your time. Open access is a joke. Lady was rude right as I got there. I drove 30 min for them to tell me I can’t use a legal substance and was rudely turned away.
Dealing with the people over the phone just to make an appointment is a complete disaster.
They did not mention anything about this, but upon arriving I was told they would not help anyone who uses marijuana, even with a medical card. Upon learning I smoke she told me I was not a good fit for the clinic, suggested a different clinic that focused on harm reduction, and dismmissed us. We came 35 minutes away. Office staff should inform new patients on the phone about these things so people don’t waste hours of their day just to be turned away. This facility helps people they think deserve their help, no one else.
By far one of the worst experiences I ever had. I was going through the ringer during the height of COVID. 4 funerals, out of work for about a year, depressed I mean you name it. Went in for physical for some reason the MD needed to tell me repeatedly that his spouse is more important than my health. With a referral on hand I ask for antidepressant and of course a general statement about how “ my people “ are always looking for pills. Insane. Never again.
