I took apart my Lewmar windlass but needed help reassembling it so I called EC Ruff to get an estimate. They asked me to email photos of the disassembled unit. Then they asked for me to bring it in for a technician to look at it in order to give an estimate. I followed up twice to get an estimate but no response. I sent my thruster motor to Ec for repair. I was told that the evaluation would cost 250.00 dollars and I gave permission. After a week they said they would have to send it to their motor repair shop (which I assumed they were a repair shop). The offsite repair shop analyzed the motor found a broken stud and repaired it to the tune of 450.00, I was Never to that the original 250.00 wound not be applied to the total invoice (smoke and mirrors).
