I was inspired by the other Jane Doe here to write my own review about my experience at EDCMT. I was encouraged by the therapist I saw after leaving EDCMT to make visible the manipulation, control, and lack of responsible care that I experienced while with the center so that no one has to undertake any additional healing from a place that was supposed to be healing in the first place. Several years ago, I entered this program genuinely hoping it would help me heal. I committed fully, completing each level, trusting that the process would lead somewhere meaningful. But over time, it became painfully clear that my voice didn’t matter here. My concerns were dismissed, and I was told to trust their “methods” without question. EDCMT is a completely transformative place. I went through all levels of care here and was always met with grace, kindness, and encouragement. The staff are some of the most incredible people I know. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me and others. Prior to becoming a patient at EDCMT I had cycled through nearly 10 therapists without ever making meaningful progress. EDCMT helped me to finally confront the root of my suffering and begin healing. I will always be grateful for my time here.
