My provider sent me to EOMC for a chest xray because I have an acute sinus infection, ear infections and acute bronchitis with junkie lungs. The staff that I interacted with were wonderful. My serious concern is that it is now 3 days later and when called, they said the radiologist just hasn’t had time to look at it. Really?!!!! This is why people living in Wister or Heavener will drive to ft smith for a simple xray or bloodwork rather than risk getting no answers or answers that come unacceptably late. To be fair…. This place is a joke… dr winchell movin patients thru not really carin about what wrong
I was recently there for a two night stay. Aside from the ER registration lady being inattentive and less than friendly my stay was very comfortable. The ER nurses, floor nurses, aides, and the APRN Ms.Davis were all extremely caring and thoughtful to myself and my family. Being hospitalized is not on anyone’s to do list but the staff made it as comfortable as possible.
Shameful. I am sure that poteau hospital has some.good people, unfortunately they're not the ones which inact procedures. Case in point. I have been having really strange attacks which make me confused, short of breath, anxious, and clammy. Yesterday I had an attack and ran to the emergency room to have blood pressure taken and oxygen levels. I had to go through entire intake process, like a walk in clinic, and take a seat.
