This "service", their doctors and triage team have successfully made me more suicidal. They made me details years of abuse, discharged me from their "care" after I told them of previous suicide attempts and plans, then they made me self refer to other services. These other services didn't want to retraumatise me so they called CAT for the details I already disclosed to their "doctor's. During my recent stay, I had a very unprofessional experience with the psychiatric doctor (short hair). She suggested medication for me and then made an unnecessary comment implying I drink alcohol to sleep — which is completely untrue. This was upsetting and felt inappropriate, especially in a mental health setting. Apart from the Nice furniture and beautiful pictures on the wall, rainbows, and inclusiveness talk, nothing has changed since the asylum days of the 1800s. The more people beg for help, the more they are treated like crap, like their sick, and put on higher and higher doses of medication. It's all about money and control
