I was sent to collections with absolutely no bill being sent to me. I tried to pay the bill after receiving a call about being sent to collections but I can not pay it because her father is listed as the person who took her. Which I impossible due to him being deployed when she went. Even though they seen my signature as the one who took her to the ER. I found out that I was in collections for a Bill back in 2023. When I first received the bill from Eastern Carolina Physicians I immediately called them and told them I had both Medicare and AARP United Healthcare as a supplement Ins.. I was told that New Hanover never informed them of the supplement. That was I believe that was not the truth. This place ought to be under investigation I went in thinking I had a dislocated shoulder so left a day later with sepsis I didn’t find out I was septic until midnight the second night I demanded the AMA forms and I took a 2 hour Uber to duke university hospital bc I didn’t want to die in that hell hole
About 2 months ago, we brought our toddler to the ER with severe, constant vomiting that had her regurgitating pure green bile until she was very dehydrated. Because of this, I was concerned about bowel obstruction and felt that we might be dealing with an emergency. By the time she was seen by a doctor, it had been so long (several hours after walking through the front doors of the ER) that she had already been holding down water and electrolytes (that we brought!) for more than hour.
