Had to get off work two weeks ahead, and drive 30 minutes, just for the doctor for my scheduled appointment to not be there, and be asked to come back at 11:00, unprofessional.
This review is for the gun barrel city clinic. The doctors are really great at what they do. My husband, son, and I all go there. We each have our own doctors. They listen to us and take their time. They are very knowledgeable of all of our needs. The location is really busy so sometimes it’s hard to get in for certain needs. I highly recommend them. They know what they are doing and do the best for your health needs.
We have repeatedly experienced a complete lack of communication, follow-through, and urgency regarding our son’s medical care. The phones are rarely answered, and when they are, no one is able to help, or they transfer you to someone who sends you to voicemail. We were told our son would be referred to a specialist for Plagiocephaly. we never received a call from the specialist. This clinic told me it usually take months for them to call for an appointment. I think the staff at the Athens Clinic is very unprofessional. First off I tried several days to make appointment to be put on hold for 10-15 mins then I would get hung up on. I called several times and this happened. I got an appointment in 5 days and have been out of my medication for 2 days. And they would not refill my medicine for 5 days. If you can’t handle all your patients, quit seeing so many….clearly you can’t handle them! This place will hardly call you back after multiple messages left, it takes on average an hour to be seen after having an appointment and some of the employees have no idea what they’re doing.
