Amber has worked miracles with husband following a stroke, then Bells Palsy. When he started with her the right side of his face had fallen, eye wouldn’t shut, mouth on right side wouldn’t open, swallowing any food was all most impossible. His last post stroke follow-up the NP was shocked at the progress he had made.

Amber is knowledgeable and professional with stroke patients. She is an exceptionally Speech therapist. Following our loved ones Stroke, She struggled with word finding and recall from short term memory loss. I want to thank Amber for being patient and kind and understanding, when my doctors didn't seem to care. After my stroke, I was told to see a speech therapist, but I didn't know what I needed until I met her. After I met her, I realized that I was in worse shape than I thought. She brought me along with her kindness, and helped me to understand what I needed. She helped me so much, by being my friend and making me understand that I needed therapy. I started therapy with Amber Barnes the last couple of weeks in May due to a stroke I had on May 4th. Amber worked closely with me through therapy to help me to speak clearly from that point until today. She has given me the tools I need to continue to practice. She is such a personable, friendly, & caring therapist. I never expected that I would find a friend through all of this. I would highly recommend Amber to anyone needing speech therapy.
