While the food was decent—we ordered a chicken amatriciana as well as a veal parmigiana—the service left a lot to be desired. Our server Jaron was rude and dismissive. My partner tired to flag him down twice and he downright ignored us and never checked on us during our meal. My partner had to get her Pepsi by flagging down another server. Every other staff member that we talked to other than Jaron provided excellent service and it would be a shame for others to be treated in this way.
Massi is the reason we keep coming back to East Side Mario’s in Kanata! Her friendly service, warm personality, and attention to detail make every visit feel special. The food is always great, but it’s Massi who truly makes the experience unforgettable. One tip for the restaurant — it would help if the hostesses were more understanding when guests request a different table. We had asked for a booth with more light (and there were plenty available), but the hostess rolled her eyes at her coworkers when explaining our request.... read more
We went to East Side Mario's in Kanata for supper, I ordered the 12 layer lasagna and when it came it was lukewarm at best, they had to take it back and reheat it, when they brought out our meal it was a manager type looking person we asked for more bread and butter, that never came. No waiter or waitress came by for is to ask again for more. Found the food after mine got reheated average at best, service wasn't great either. Not sure of we will ever go back.
