I was looking to get tattooed here, just moving to NY looking for a good compatible artist to match my current style of ink. I was very unpleased by the person I met with for my consultation. He may be a good artist, sure. But he couldn't even crack a single smile while getting to know each other..made me extremely uncomfortable immediately! I’ve been going to East Side Ink for almost a year, and there’s nothing about the experience that I wouldn’t recommend to anybody. Fantastic shop, excellent artists, outstanding vibes. This is the place you’re looking for.
I went to East Side Ink on a friends recommendation and immediately felt like it was the right spot. Very warm and welcoming. I was getting my first tattoo, so this was important. My artist was Jonah, and he couldn't have been nicer. He was patient, attentive, focused, and detail oriented. He knew it was my first tattoo, so he took extra measure to make sure everything was just right. He is kind, funny, and very talented. Hail Caesar. Got a woodcarving piece done here and the process could not have been better. It was my first tattoo and he drilled it. 10/10 experience.
I know I’m very late with this review considering my tattoo was done in Feb 2024… But I had to made sure I shared my experience at East Side Ink and with Mateo. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish and I am more than happy with my tattoo, it healed really well following the artists exact recommendations and to this day, a year and a some months later, the details of the tattoo are impeccable.
