East Shore Paint and Drywall owner, Timothy France, is a crook. Although he never performed painting/drywall work for me, I did give him a business loan, he is in default and refusing to make payments. I, like MANY others, have gone to court and received judgment for the amount he owes, but I’m positive I will never receive payment. After doing research, I’ve concluded he has been subpoenaed over 140 times to appear in court for writing bad checks, evictions, writ of ejectments and defaulting on monies owed. Tim gave me a price that was lower than other painters. I wish I would have read the reviews. He stated to me he would send 5 guys for 5 days and the job would be done. Day 1 and Day 2 he had 2 workers show up. They worked 3 hours each day and then he called them to send the to a different job. They made a mess on the jobsite and did not protect my carpet or furnature. Many days the workers were a no show. If you're looking for a great contractor for your drywall and painting needs, DO NOT HIRE TIM FRANCE!!! Besides being a scam artist, he is rude, unprofessional and will threaten you with lawsuits. Check out his reviews on other sites, he has a horrible reputation, more bad than good. He needs to do Charleston a favor and move....far away. He has burned MANY bridges here. I would never recommend him for any work. Do not hand this sorry excuse for a man any money!

I received two bad checks from Mr France. He refuse to pay the amount he owe me. Now I will to take him to court to get his attention. He owes his employees a lot of money but won't answer our phone calls/email. He deserves to be in jail, and I have a feeling he will be very soon.

Unfortunately, I did not read these reviews before hiring Mr. France to paint a room in my house. He started off well, and completed an exterior job very nicely. The same two painters were sent in to mud a room and paint it. they did a good job. It was the finish crew who did very poorly, Orange peel finish in bathroom, thin see-through areas on walls, drips and runs on trim and doors. My Daughter who has 3 very young daughters worked for Tim France, owner of East Shore and he has yet to pay her. We have called and she has begged this man for her money and even goes as far as to set a date time & place to meet with the promise to pay her, and then doesn't show up. If you think this creature is responsible to do a job for you, think about this. Tim France,owner of East Shore Paint and Drywall, shouldn't even have one star, but I couldn't submit without a rating. He earned ZERO stars. DO NOT give him any money. He started a job and never came back to finish.
