I just found that East Rock Pharmacy will be closing its doors at 5 pm tomorrow. I was told by one of the many wonderful staff members there that staff didn't get the news of the store closing until just today. East Rock has been bought out by CVS Pharmacy. This is truly terrible news. East Rock Pharmacy is so wonderfully convenient for residents of the neighborhood. As someone with a chronic illness that requires me to take several medications every day, I love having a pharmacy right down the block with staff who knows me ... read more

I have ordered refills on medication twice. Each time they say it will be ready in an hour. I couldn’t make it that day, so I came the following day to pick it up. Both times they told me it was not requested to be refilled nor was ready, but they will refill it if I come back 30 minutes later. Whoever is answering the phones and taking my information isn’t entering it in the system. It’s very upsetting to go to East Rock Pharmacy each month to find out my medicine was not refilled and not there. If I could give them a half ... read more
