i don't know if i just went at a lucky time, but despite the inside of the lighthouse being closed, there were a good number of people hanging out at the very small area of beach access or sitting in their cars chillin and watching the thursday sunset. very neat vibes, and you're able to get some good pics of the lighthouse from the outside even if it's closed. it's a *very* small beach, and there's large sandbags and rocks blocking the insane waves here, so it's not like you can do laps, but you can get wet and splash aroun... read more

I visited on October 1, 23. I was to be the only car in the parking lot. I noticed a young couple walking up the sand drive to the lighthouse but there were no other cars around. It was a warm day for October but both people had their faces covered. I got out briefly to get a few pictures as I used to work in South Jersey for several years. After driving away I reached for my phone to check the time to catch the Ferry and my purse was gone from the floor passenger side.
