Upon arrival I smelled a smell reminiscent of the smell of a curly perm. (I went to cosmetology school years back.) The place smelled of eggs. It was a mistake to not walk right back out the door right then! The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The carpet was green with plenty of dark spots on it. Most cooperative, helpful staff in my experience – I greatly appreciated the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. In the past, though various optometrists were listed as in the network for my insurance, I would find that extra charges were tacked on, beyond that which was covered. East Orange Eye Care is genuinely a provider - there were no hidden costs for the eye exam; my bifocals were fully covered by the allowance; and obtaining my contact lenses was no problem.
