I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this facility. If I did not live 45 minutes away, I would want to make Bolton Veterinary my pups primary vet. My girl was vomiting (10x in 1 hour) and lethargic, so we brought her in. All of the staff were very kind and patient, despite it being 11pm. The rates for emergency care are higher, but that is to be expected. They even allowed me to pay for the check in visit 2 days later at the time of the ER visit, so I did not have to worry about it then. They will give multiple o... read more

Wouldn't see my dog who is bleeding badly because my sister-in-law didn't pay her bill if he dies

Great experience from my call in at 5am on a Sunday until we walked out of the door. I had to bring my 19-year-old cat in when he woke up unable to walk. Everyone we met at the Emergency Clinic was kind, compassionate, and very calm. Dr. Pikas monitored him overnight to see if the material would pass through, and when it wouldn’t, he called the next morning letting me know Jack would need surgery. Then Dr. Kalos took over for surgery that afternoon. They communicated well with each other and didn’t miss a beat! Both of them took time to call me and update me on the situation at different points in the process. They answered all my questions and didn’t ever make me feel rushed to get off the phon... read more

Everyone here is amazing. A rat in my care was struggling to breathe and after calling several emergency vets in the area, East of the River was able to admit the rat over the phone. When I got there, they started care immediately and told me their plan for her right away. I’ve been to many emergency vets and know how chaotic it can get, but the staff was extremely organized and made sure all my questions and concerns were answered. They are also upfront about every option your pet has and will not judge you for your decisio... read more
