To Whom It May Concern. I've had issue after issue after issue with Laurel Land Cemetery and the services provided over the last year. I purchased (Sharma) funeral services for my wife in February 2023, she passed away in March 2023 and in preparing for funeral service Laurel Land was forcing me to have the funeral service on a Monday rather than a Saturday. If you ever want to retrieve your families remains, don't bother coming here, they will lose your family members and then blame it on "the earth claiming them" There are other reports of this cemetery placing bodies in the wrong plots. This business is a joke, don't trust your families remains in their hands.
Last Jan. I arraged ffor a plaque in memory of my daughter, Tracy Nepivoda. installation Date early Nov. Dod not ask for terms, but was offered terms.. Never was there a time frame attached to terms. When making inquiry was-told, that 3/4 of total price was to be paid before they even begn to make the plaque. But then said that he would begin immediately, but I still have not received an update. OLINGER HAMDEN TAKES ADVANTAGE IS SUCH A WAY IT IS SICK., WHEN A SISTER BEEN BURIED THERE BECAUSE OF A FAMILY PLOT, THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR THAT THEY COULD CANCELTHE FUNERAL IF THEY WANTED--- IT ALL IF THEY WANTED . I was treated with utmost disrespect by any funeral home I have been to. The guy was very rude when making the arrangements and at the funeral itself. He even went as far as lying about the death certificates. He kept saying the place downtown messed up,. Three times he said that and I had to call his boss and lo and behold they had them the whole time. It was bad enough losing my sister who was basically my mom. I would give them a zero, but that's not an option. We ordered and paid for a new marker for my wife's grandmother's grave six months ago and paid over $1700. It was guaranteed verbally to be in by July. Come July - only excuses. Then end of August - still only excuses. It's November, and the bonehead behind the counter tells us that the marker won't be ready until 2024. Find somewhere else!
Zach at Meadowlawn Funeral home in New Port Richey, Florida was so extremely helpful with details on Paul Thatcher's passing away. I would highly recommend asking for Zach Wolfe, as he was very professional, caring, compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me with a lot with information I was not aware I needed to do.
