**Edit 10/1/2025: It's been ~7 years since my daughter was injured gruesomely during a "routine cast removal" and I still think about it with incredible guilt and sadness. Why didn't I realize something was wrong and stop the procedure? How can I stop reliving the sound of her screams and the image of her body contorting as they held her down? I was told there was a fracture at urgent care but they said there wasn't. Doctor Dewitt was very rough with my 11 year. She was in a lot of pain and showed no care at all. Not a good doctor for kids
I had seen Dr. Greg Uitvlugt on and off for 25 years due to breaking my leg on Christmas Eve at the age of 5. While I found him to be a capable surgeon making an appointment to see him is absolutely insane. I was told I needed a referral since it had been so long. No problem, did that. I called to schedule an appointment and they could neither confirm nor deny if they had the referral. They said if you don't hear anything within 2 weeks give us a call back. I've had an horrible experience after today's surgery and I don't believe I'm getting fair treatment because of my past from years ago.
They got me in quickly without a referral for two sprained ankles. Got my x-rays, a couple of boots, and some crutches just in case. They said there were no breaks. However, there was no follow up. No guidance, just ice and elevate. Didn't say for how long, didn't recommend any PT. Just here you go! Four months later I had one ankle checked again and an MRI revealed three fractures.
