Brought my daughter here on a Sunday. There were no pther patients in line so I thought surely we'd be in and out quickly! My daughter presented with fever, severe ear pain, headache, nausea and vomiting. AFTER we check in, they inform us everyone is going to lunch! They will resume service in 40 minutes. An hour and half later, we are still waiting. They have not retured from lunch per the receptionist. Had I known the entire place shuts down for lunch, we would have gone to Hilo ER.... but kinda late for that now hopefully... read more
Called the facility to be looked at and they searched my name info in their system. Because I've been there before in the past. Was told by one of the Staff over the phone they could see. This was even after providing my insurance information over the phone. When I gave them the information and insurance card, I was told they don't take that kind of insurance. Please train your staff because your wasting our time. SMH
The providers in EHHC at Keaau are very competent and care about their patients. The receptionist desk is in dire need of integrity and accountability checks. This clinic is staffed with under qualified support staff who are more concerned with getting their paychecks than taking care of the medical needs of the community. Apparently the receptionist here is incompetent, called and ask this morning if they could remove a temporary cast and was told “Yes! We can definitely do that!” was the exact words I was told, drove all the way there to be told “ohhhhh I’m so sorry when you called and I told you that the nurses weren’t here and we don’t have the equipment for that.” I’m sorry? even fast food workers have better judgment than to answer a question they don’t know the answer to without asking first.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The receptionists do not understand their jobs and do them inadequately. They are misinformed or undereducated. Maybe both. One receptionist let me know personally they were lying to our faces. I asked a trick question to find out it’s either discrimination or just plain rudeness.
