I visited the East Coulee School Museum with my family, which includes two adults and three children (ages 10, 12, and 14). When we arrived, I asked to pay the advertised family admission rate. The staff member said she needed to ask someone because my children were "not little." Before visiting, I had checked the museum's website, which clearly states that the family admission includes two adults and up to four children aged 17 and under. Such an interesting place. The lady working there was super friendly and knowledgeable and seemed really excited to share what she knew (and we were really happy to hear it). The school museum is a great companion outing to the Atlas Mine, as you get the perspective of the workers and also their families and children. A lot of love and work went into this place.
Stopped by the East Coulee School Museum a few days ago and honestly I was not expecting to be so charmed by it. The old wooden desks still lined up in rows inside the original schoolroom made for some incredible shots, and the natural light coming through those big windows in the afternoon was just perfect for photography.
