East Coast Transmissions was one of only 2 shops in the area who gave us a reasonable quote to either rebuild our transmission or install a crated transmission if we wanted to have one shipped in. I'd had a terrible experience elsewhere and wish we'd come to ECT 1st. Our Ford Escape is back on the road and we really appreciate the service we received! I would definitely recommend East Coast Transmissions over the franchise transmission shops.
These people are crooks. I had my brother's transmission repaired there in December. It took about 3 weeks before they finally had it ready, In February the transmission stop working on the way to the airport. I had to have it towed back to their shop. This time they kept it over 1 month with all types of excuses. When I picked it up they charged me $200 more (I originally paid $3000.) When I questioned what happened to the transmission (under warranty) he replied, "it was a manufacturer default on 1 of the parts." I wish I ... read more
