Program director looks down on the residents. I'm not sure what credentials the "counselors" at the Strathmore house have, but my personal experience with my counselor left much to be desired. I felt I was not listened to, and unfairly judged. My counselor asked me the same questions over and over again, made assumptions that were inaccurate and offensive, and since he never took notes or actually got to know me as a person, he repeated these offensive assumptions every time I met with him. It's a waste of time and money. As a forme resident, I've come to believe that addicts and alcoholics are better served through the natural consequences of their actions.
