Joel sub-contracted me in 2024 for a job that he needed help with. Job was completed in August of 2024 and he has never paid us for it. He is ignoring emails and phone calls. Dishonest and unprofessional. As a contractor and business owner in the Greater Moncton area, I am sad to say Joel is not to be trusted.

I've finally decided to share our experience with this company, after patiently waiting for Joel to come back to us, to make things right as he had promised. But a year after, he did not. Both our decks were done in August of 2023. What was supposed to be a quick job of about a week turned out to be a few months. East Coast Fresh Coats painted a family cottage on a fairly tight timeline, in order to have it ready for our first look photos for our wedding! The owner Joel was an absolute consummate professional, and understood the importance and sentimentality behind the job he took on! He even surprised us with the option to add-on decorative lights for our photos, which was so thoughtful. The before and after are shocking, and we encourage anyone looking for top-tier service to employ Joel and his team at East Coast Fresh Coats!

We hired East Coast Fresh Coats to paint the outside of our house. What was scheduled to be a 3 week job turned into over 4 months and work was eventually never completed. The issue was never the workers but Joel's management. He is not to be trusted as he is completely unreliable and dishonest. In the end, he ignored all of our attempts to contact him regarding the incomplete work. After no one showing up to work for over two weeks, we ended having to hire another company to finish it off. We gave Joel a 1500$ deposit. He gave us a start date. We tried contacting him when he didn't show up on the start date. It took 16 days of calling and texting. We went to his house and he never answered the door. I had to sink as low as calling his girlfriend. She had seen our messages on their social media and he had assured her that we were taken care of. We got our money back, but the lessoned learned was...Don't trust Joel.
